Our Commitment
VOX is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Measures to Support Accessibility
VOX takes the following measures to ensure the accessibility of our website and client projects:
  • Include accessibility as part of our mission statement
  • Integrate accessibility into our design and development process
  • Provide continual accessibility training for our staff
  • Include people with disabilities in our design personas

Conformance Status

Our Website
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are currently working on a new website which will be completely conformant. Some older pieces of content (2+ years) may have a reading level that is above the level outlined in the WCAG Guidelines. This means, those who are in lower Secondary education may not be able to read and understand the content properly. This fails WCAG Success Criterion 3.1.5

Client Websites
We strive to implement accessible design practices for all client websites throughout the design and development process. Our approach to accessibility for client projects is tailored to each client's specific needs, budget, and goals:
  • We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards wherever possible.
  • We work closely with our clients to educate them on the importance of accessibility.
  • We provide scalable accessibility solutions that align with our clients' budgets and objectives.
  • For clients with limited budgets, we focus on implementing the most critical accessibility features and provide a roadmap for future improvements.
  • We always advocate for the highest level of accessibility possible within the project constraints.

Our goal is to create the most accessible website possible for each client, recognizing that the level of compliance may vary based on individual project circumstances.

Assessment Approach
VOX assessed the accessibility of our website and client projects by following the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) provided by the W3C to test and to create report of conformance. We use various testing tools and manual testing as recommended by the WCAG-EM.

Additional Accessibility Considerations for Client Websites
In addition to ensuring the highest accessibility compliance, we also:
  • Conduct user testing with individuals who have disabilities
  • Provide accessibility documentation and training to our clients
  • Offer ongoing support for maintaining website accessibility
  • Stay updated with the latest accessibility standards and technologies

We believe that the internet should be accessible to all, regardless of ability or disability. Our goal is not just to meet standards, but to create truly inclusive digital experiences for everyone.
